Everyone experiences stress at one time or another. Whether the stress comes from your job, school, children or money problems, stress can make you extremely fatigued, mentally sluggish and can be a catalyst to health problems down the road.

Most people don't even realize the amount of stress in their lives, because their environment is full of it. They react as it's a normal part of life. However, stress does catch up with you contributing to health conditions such heart disease, hypertension, anxiety and weight gain. Since it's important to manage your stress here are some ways to get hold of your stressful life.

*Take a walk. Believe it or not, walking is one of the best exercises and best ways to manage your stress. Walking through nature, a park or a quiet street lets your mind relax and take in the calm natural environment.

*Exercise regularly. Sometimes we need a release and there is no better release than 30 minutes on the treadmill, stairmaster or lifting weights.

*Create a relaxing routine. Maybe once a week you have a relaxing massage, get your nails done, take a long bath or for guys enjoy a ball game or a beer with the buddies.

*Keep a log. It is important to monitor when you have bouts of lots of stress and anxiety. By keeping a log, you can determine what activities cause the most amount of stress. By diagnosing the problem, you can make changes to your environment or conditions that are causing you the most stress.

Following these tips should lessen the hold stress has on you and replace it with some well needed relaxation.
